 Archen Baloch

Occupied Balochistan - Tump - Today when Baloch National Front, rallied a massive procession in Kech sub district head quarter Tump city town to pay tribute to martyr Mir Jan Miral, who sacrificed his life for the freedom of Balochistan, the Pakistani military hardcore " the Jehadi Islamic Jawans" were called in to contain the rally, which was gathered at Dr Khaled Chowk, and was about to proceed to Mir Jan Miral last resting place to pay homage to his courage and patriotism, without any prior warning brutally opened fire upon the peaceful protesters. As a result of this indiscriminate and disproportionate use of brutal force, 4 innocent of Baloch women children elderly men and women lost their lives and 17 others sustained fatal injuries. More then 19 youths have been whisked way to unknown locations; Hoth Beeberg BSO'S CC member was also among them.

Backed by helicopters and armored vehicles, provocative forces at first resorted to cruel baton charging, but when they failed to disperse the angry political workers, who were calling upon Punjabi led Pakistani forces to quit Balochistan, disproportionately opened fire at the protesters. Mukhtar A.Aziz from Soro was the first among the victims of this firing, Followed by Amdad Hayatan, from Malikabad village, Arif Dazini, Ajaz Nawaz who lost their lives.

A 19 years old intermediate school girl Shahnaz Yousif from Mand sustained fatal injuries, have been shifted to Karachi Agah khan hospital in emergency room her condition is very critical.

Two days ago on Friday 14, just one and half kilo meter away from Tump town centre, a bloody skirmish between Baloch Republican Army and Pakistani forces took place at Shaheed G.M main high way. The Baloch Sarmachars (freedom fighters) had ambushed a Pakistani forces convey, in which 12 military men were killed, 25 others sustained injuries and were shifted to Turbat civil hospital. BRA had accepted the ambush of military men and acknowledged that one of their Sarmachars Mir Jan Miral had embraced martyrdom.

One of the protesters, interviewed by Radio Gwank of Balochistan, said that Pakistani forces had been outsmarted and defeated by Baloch National forces throughout Balochistan; therefore, they had no option other then to take revenge upon soft targets "the general public", for the defeat inflicted upon them by Baloch National Forces every time in entire Balochistan.

As a result of provocative killings, Baloch volunteer forces emerging out of nowhere and attacking Pakistani security forces, state controlled institutions and installations throughout Balochistan. The latest information according to Koh Mazar, a school teacher in Negower, the angry mob attacked a police station in Balnegower in which policemen sustained injuries and the building and vehicles of the policemen have been put on fire. The police system in Balochistan is entirely collapsed.

But international media and civil society is dormant to this entire humanitarian crisis in Balochistan.

Appeal from Kulber Valley for Investigation
Update Aug 22, 2009:
Report by Archen Baloch

(Mand, Kulber Valley) The joint Pakistani and Iranian military operation initiated on August 16 in Kulber Valley now covers the entire Makuran region and is expanding to other districts. Iranian forces are participating with gunship helicopters and rockets. AAJ TV reports that in the middle of the night, Friday, August 21, fourteen rockets were fired from the Iranian side of the border at Mashkeel City. Three women and children were reported killed and five injured. The injured ones have been shifted to a civilian hospital, but these figures do not tally with the numbers obtained by Radio Gwank of Balochistan from Mashkeel local media. Apart from the destruction of homes, shops and wareshouses, the casualties and injuries recorded by the local media are far more then those of AAJ TV reports. The total numbers of deaths are 161, in which children and women are included. The number of injured are 293, some of whom are in critical condition. According to interviews with the local population in Mashkeel, the 14 rockets were fired at residential areas by Iranian forces from a Revolutionary Guard camp in an effort to reinforce Pakistani-initiated operations designed to "retaliate for successful actions of the Baloch Sarmachars [fighters] against occupying forces." Just two weeks ago, Lieutenant Colonel Jawad, from Mardan city of NWFP, was killed in an ambush by Baloch Sarmachars in the Mashkeel Mountains. Pakistani controlled media, however, reported that he had been killed by smugglers.

Statements from insurgent groups:

Baloch Republican Party spokesperson Mir Sher M. Bugti reported to N N I that in the early morning of Friday, August 21, "Joint Pakistani and Iranian forces launched a new wave of operations backed by gunship helicopters in the Sibi area of Shahi Darbar, Rustom Darbar and Zain Koh. Casualties include ten children and women." According to Bugti, Mand, Tump, Nasirabad, Mashkeh and Turbat are still under siege.

Basham Baloch, the spokesperson of the Baloch Liberation Front, telephoned Radio Gwank from an undisclosed location to report, "The Pakistani military is targeting civilians in cities and villages over its frustration with BLF successes against Pakistani forces." He added that, "The BLF is determined to force Pakistani occupying forces out of our country. The Pakistani military is destined to fail in Balochistan. In contravention of Geneva Convention rules, Pakistani forces are targeting our civilian population. They cannot compete with Baloch national forces in the battle field."

Update Aug 20, 2009: According to our source, "This map [below] shows the location of the Pakistani and Iranian joint military operation. Kulber Valley is situated at the end tip of the Iranian border, close to Haspikan village, where the Nehing river passes. The pictures posted at gwank.org were taken on the second day of the operation. The people in the photos are protesting the operation--blocking the road because to prevent the transport of military personnel and equipment for the operation..." (additional photos at balochwarna.org)
Men and women block roads to prevent military vehicles and supplies from passing. In the bottom photo, defiant protestors have used rocks to spell out the acronym 'BRA' (Baloch Republican Army). The BRA is one of several Baloch insurgent groups fighting the Pakistani military. Photos published atgwank.org; additional photos at balochwarna.org;

Baloch National Question Exposed To World Community for Debate

24.07.2009
By Archen Baloch
Despite the fact that Baloch Nationalism has bitterly been cursed by religious parties and dubbed with infidelity, abhorred by federation, betrayed by salaried parliamentarian nationalists, suppressed by civil and military establishment, haunted by ISI and MI, crushed by cruel military operations, neglected by civil societies, ignored by regional and international media, contained in a vicious circle of vested interests, isolated by neighboring nations and submerged in the obscurity of utter media blackout.
Nevertheless, at last it overcame all these obstructions and reached Sharm El Sheikh and forced Pakistan to include Balochistan into joint-statement issued by PM Manmohan Singh of India and PM Gilani of Pakistan, it reads, ‘Prime Minister Gilani mentioned that Pakistan had some information on threats in Balochistan and other areas'.
The main purpose of inclusion of Balochistan in the joint statement is that Pakistan wanted to counterweigh the New Delhi accusations of Mumbai carnage which are bearing heavy on Pakistan in the coming days. That is way the ex Pakistan spy master Hameed Gul was jubilant at the inclusion of Balochistan in the joint statement.
Now the question is that what Pakistan wants out of this? There are two things that Pakistan wants to gain out of it. First, it wants to counterweight New Delhi assertions of Mumbai carnages. The second thing is that it could wage a military operation in its controlled southwestern Balochistan province to crush Baloch insurgency in the name of "some information on threats in Balochistan" whereby India would not be able to raise a finger at the atrocities meted out against Baloch in the wake of gory operations in Balochistan.
Now according to Baloch media and Baloch political parties  statements Pakistan has started to take into confidence the world community and some so called nationalists to pave the way for launching a gory and dangerous military operation in Balochistan to crush Baloch  national resistance movement.
Right after the Sharm El Sheikh joint statement between PM Singh and PM Gilani, on war footage a frenzy of activities of state officials and security agencies is being reported in Baloch media. President Zardari's meeting  with Nawaz Sharif and taking him into confidence for the operation, dispatching  PPP's  representative Nafees siddique  to  meet  MQM's demagogue   head  Altaf Hussain in London  to  get  him on board for the same purpose.  Interior minister Rehman Malik's visit to Kabul meeting President Karzai and asking him to cooperate on the border infiltration, American Secretary Hillary Clinton words about Indian involvement in Balochistan unrest, Sending provincial governor Magsi to abroad to convince some nationalists leaders leaving abroad for the same reason to weaken the likely protests, in Europe Baloch activists are to wage if Pakistan committed any military aggression in Balochistan. Frontier Corps office in Quetta has become the meeting place of some salaried tribal leaders, and religious leaders for approving the operation.

Apart from all these political and diplomatic measures, contingency measures have also been reported by Baloch media and political parties that all districts, cities and towns' hospitals have been put on high alerts. And temporary medical camps have been erected to treat the wounded ones. New check posts on every entrance of cities, towns and villages have been added to the already existent 800 check posts to execute the much feared operation across Balochistan.
To intimidate the public, it has increased the flag marches in large columns of troops in cities, town and villages. A heavy crackdown has also been inflicted upon BSO and BNF leadership, which are the vanguard of political resistance and the main organizers of large public demonstrations, to quell the resistance.
It has also been reported that Sri Lankan and Chinese military expertise is also involved in this high sophisticated operation, in some areas Iranian forces have been given the task to participate in the kill of Baloch resistance particularly in bordering mountainous areas of Zamoran, Mand and Taftan.
Regrettably the American sophisticated weapons, which have been given to Pakistani military to take on al Qaida and Taliban’s, are the main killing machines being used against a secular and democratic nation struggle for liberation.
The die of diplomatic tussle has been cast by Pakistan itself in Sharm Ul Sheikh and it has exposed Baloch national question to world community for international debate.
Baloch national struggle for freedom is in need indeed of world attention and support. Baloch leadership is convinced that Sharm Ul Sheikh Communiqué could provide a firm base for world community to intervene and check the gross violation of human rights in Balochistan by 'Islamic' republic of Pakistan.

Baloch youths are the backbone of national struggle for freedom. Kareema Baloch

14.06.2009
Turbat: (Bureau Report) BSO Azad central voice chairperson  Banok  Kareema Baloch has said that arrests and disappreances would not intimidate the Baloch freedom fighters; Rather it would inflame the hatred among Baloch youths. The arrest of Zakir Majeed, Shahzeb along with thousands Baloch political workers, bear out the fact that Pakistan has lost its equilibrium. In her press release she said that the youths were the back bone of Baloch national struggle for freedom. The occupying state, with its Tortures and intimidations tactics, is trying to break the backbone of our national struggle forces. From leadership to workers, be it Zakir Majeeed or Raza  Jahangir or Shahzeeb all have been  put behind the bars and unknown dungeons. With all these intimidating tactics occupying force seems to be trying to give the Baloch youths a psychological blow, but the enemy should bear it in its mind that BSO has created another Alla Nazer after Shaheed Fida,, Banok Kareema warned that state using collective punishment of terror to bring Baloch into submission, but nothing is more respectful then the honor of motherland. The arrests of All BSO members of Nokshki zone and fifteen brothers of Aawaran zone show  that BSO does not submits to state sponsored terrorism. No matter what are the consequences, freedom is what we care about. BSO will never bow before any parliamentary slavish politics. She urged all zonal leaderships and workers, besides continuing their struggle for freedom; they should include study circles and lectures in their programs and be prepared for next agitation calls.

Banok  Gulshan urged Baloch women to participate in guerilla war along  Sarmachars;
Gulshin Baloch
Turbat (bureau report): The scientific character of Banok Kareema Baloch politics has put paksitan into a nightmare of disintegration. Baloch women would patiently bear all difficulties like their brothers in the way of national struggle for freedom, said Banok Gulshan in her press release statement. Baloch women would never remain silent until Balochistan is freed of foreign occupation. We will never submit to Punjabi slavery. If need be, Baloch women would turn to mountains to defend national struggle. Expressing in a joint press conference in Balgater Hoshaf, Gulshan Fatih Baloch, Mahjan Nazeer, Raisani Gul Baloch, Malik Jan Basham Baloch, Mahjan Essa Baloch, warned that if fabricated FIR not withdrawn against BSO Voice Chairperson Banok Kareema and Baloch women’s panel leader Shaker Bibi, Baloch women would take to street with concrete steps. If ever the occupying state made the stupidity of arresting Baloch leaders, every corners of Balochistan would be turned into an inferno for Punjabis foreign forces. In order to intimidate Baloch from national struggle, the state has resorted to false and fabricated litigation against our leaders. Banok Kareema has become the ideal of every Baloch women, every woman is dreaming to fallow her suit for freedom. The proactive political rule of BSO Kareema Baloch, Freeda Baloch Women’s Panel Advocate Shaker Bibi, Dr Hani, BRP’s Professor Bibi Naila Qadiri, have become the source of inspiration for every Baloch woman to join the national struggle.   We pray for the success of our sarmachars leaving in mountains to defeat the enemy. The arrest of Zaker Majeed is the proven fact of 63 years tyrannical state sponsored policy to contain Baloch freedom struggle. We urge the world community to help the release of seven thousands political activists in Pakistani dungeons and Guantanamo Bay like jails.

Baloch National Front Interprets The Gagged Baloch Voice In Iran

Archen Baloch 2009/06/10

The  theocratic  Iran, which signed a gas  pipeline  deal with Pakistan, is one
of the most cruel and callous regime in the Middle Eastern region where  it has no
regards for human beings, it does not recognize cultural identity, except the
Persian one. Neither it can tolerate dissent political voice, nor can it put up with
any religion other then Shiites.  That is why the Baloch are now up in arms to get
rid of Persian ultra-theocratic regime from Balochistan. And this is what which has
infuriated Iran into rampant killing of Baloch political workers. The immediate
public hanging of five Baloch political workers after masque bombing in Zahidan on
may 28 the violence erupted in all cities and villages  in Western Balochistan
which put the very existence of Iranian regime on fire, and then as usual. It
started blaming America and Israel for the unrest in its occupied Baloch homeland.
Now one should ask the Iranian ultra-nationalists theocrats, what is their own share of wrong doings that have flamed the Baloch Nationalism?
Baloch National Front,  based in  Pakistani occupied Balochistan, commands the
will of popular political resistance, has an agenda, based on three points:

1 Struggle for freedom from the occupation of Pakistan and Iran,

2 Struggle for freedom through non - parliamentary politics,

3 Rendering full supports to sarmachaars, (freedom fighters) fighting the occupying
  forces in Balochistan.

In the policy statement towards struggle for freedom from Iranian occupation of
Baloch homeland, the Baloch Front based in Eastern Balochistan seems to vocalize
and interpret  the on going fight in Zahidan and other cities of Iranian occupied
Balochistan for a  greater independent Balochistan, it says” The war for freedom
in Eastern Balochistan has tremendously affected the Iranian occupied western
Balochistan, therefore  the religious resistance organization has now stipulated
its struggle for the freedom of Balochistan. BNF has expressed its appreciation for
the sarmachaars fighting Iranian forces in occupied Western Balochistan who have
trans - opted for Baloch nationalism from religion based struggle, changing its name
to Baloch Peoples Resistance Movement, formerly known by the name of Jandullah.
Just  a  couples of days ago  BNF; Baloch National Front  declared its
opposition to the IP signed between Pakistan and Iran, stating that both, “Iran
and Pakistan wouldn’t be able to protect the pipelines run through Baloch
homeland”, “the successful operations of Baloch (sarmachaars) freedom fighters
have rendered Pakistani occupying forces into a utter failure to protect the pipe
lines running from Dera Bugti Sui and ouch gas fields and, the disruption to gas
supply to Punjab, has plunged Pakistani economy into a severe crisis”.  It is a
fact that without the presence of helicopters, tanks and big guns in Dera Bugti gas
fields the flow of Baloch liquid gas to Punjab is an impossible task to keep
Pakistan economy alive. Furthermore it states that “given the prevailing
conditions in Balochistan, the IP pipeline Stan signed   between Pakistan and Iran
on May 22, is nothing more then a self deception”.
Under the banners of BNF, Baloch Women Panel and Baloch Students Organization held
rallies in all over Balochistan and in Karachi to  protest the extra judicial
public hanging of five Baloch political workers, and called upon United Nations to
stop the chauvinist Iranian regime’s brutality against innocent Baloch masses.
According to daily time’s correspondent Malik Siraj Akber, professor Saba
Dashteyari, who led the main rally in Quetta, said the Baloch living on both sides
of the border did not recognize the international boundary. The public hanging of
the Baloch citizens would prove counter-productive in the future, as Baloch would
avenge this action.Baloch nationalism has gone beyond   the control of Pakistani
protected tribalism and Iranian chauvinistic brutalism. Let us hear from Mehrjan, a
leader of Baloch Women’s Panel, whose massage contains a whole set of Baloch
nationalism: “International countries and human rights organizations,
mainly the US and the UN, should take notice of the mistreatment meted out to
minorities in Iran,” she said. She warned that if Iran did not improve its
relations with the Baloch population, then the Baloch living in Pakistan occupied
Balochistan would move to help their brethren by target killing Iranian nationals
living in, or visiting, Pakistan.

Baloch National Ideology and Resistance

09.03.2009 Archen Baloch

In terms of legitimacy, Pakistani occupied Balochistan has theoretically become an independent state in de facto, because in principle it has achieved the prerequisite attribution which qualifies Baloch to seek international recognition in de jure to become an independent member state of United Nations. And that attribution is the unequivocal will of the Baloch people constantly striving to get rid of Pakistani occupation. Yet technically it is a part of Pakistan. Pakistani state machinery is in no control in Balochistan. Balochi Rawaj - the unwritten Nasir Noori constitution is the set of political principles governing Baloch social organization in relation to social justice.

Baloch nation with a credential of 160 years independent wars with different colonial powers in different times has demonstrated that it has the strength to challenge any misconception that violates the Baloch sovereignty.

On the theoretical front, Baloch national struggle for freedom has achieved the broadest consensus among general public and formed the explicit ideology of Baloch nationalism. And the same ideology is the yardstick for future political consideration of Baloch national question.

Baloch national ideology is based upon cultural values and strong belongingness to its soil rather than religious ideology. In order to blunt the freedom movement based on secular values, both, Pakistan and Iran have tried hard to replace Baloch national ideology with religious ideology, but failed. To alienate Baloch from their culture and language the colonial states have constantly pursued the policy of Baloch containment keeping Baloch in abject poverty. But all these futile attempts have failed and Baloch resistance has utterly dismayed them and proven to the world that they are on the wrong side of the history.

The current Baloch political parties, the offspring of Qalat National Party of 1930s, signify the fact that Baloch have had enough exercises in the institution of democratic theatre. The very existence of different political parties itself bear out the fact that Baloch know how to defer, which is the essence of democracy. Totalitarianism has no place in Baloch social organization, the crooked narratives of Pakistani media are notwithstanding.

Baloch believe in democracy, even under years of forced annexation, Baloch have participated in Pakistani and Iranian so called short lived constitutional institutions, and this itself is a fact that Baloch are more democratic than the ultra-nationalist Punjabi and Persian regimes. But both have failed to recognize the Baloch goodwill gesture to their unnatural states. That is why Baloch have now lost faith in Iranian and Pakistani federacy altogether. On practical side of the struggle, Baloch youths have now gathered their national strength for resistance to occupying forces and been fighting them for the past 9 years.

Despite the fact that enemy has the upper hand of sophisticated weapons of air fighters, helicopters, tanks and open access to international weapon markets, but they even failed to slow down the movement’s drive. Its forces are overstretched in Balochistan and are on all time high alerts; their will to fight is wearing down and suffering from psychical and mental stress.
In many areas of resistance centers, defection and suicide have risen to an alarming number among soldiers and officers particularly in Dera Bugti, Kohlu Kahan, Mand, Gwadar, Jehlawan,  Noshki and Khuzdar. And in many instances forces defections have been facilitated by Baloch national armed organizations under Balochi code of amnesty.

In Dera Bugti without the presence of tanks and helicopters, keeping on the illegal flow of Baloch natural gas to Punjab and other cities of Pakistan is an utterly impossible undertaking.
The presence of tanks and helicopters guarding the pipelines in Dera Bugti is a grim reminder that foreign investment is nowhere coming in Balochistan unless Balochistan is liberated. The mega IPI and Gwadar Port projects have been turned into a mega failure by Baloch resistance forces.
